- Bukowski

Forgive any incoherencies.  I'm tired, for reasons to be explained in the very first block o' text.

-Well, I posted here at 4-ish yesterday.  At like five, I was messaged by hampshire people.  Or should I say, hampshire girls, because, out of the like fifteen people who funnelled through the massive aim chat, only two were guys (including me).  From like 5 to 1 (A.M.) there was almost uninterrupted chatting, it was frightening.  Especially during the various "Guys suck" moments.  Despite the liberal feminism, I don't mind the people.  Hopefully I'll like the campus when I visit next week.

But fuck, eight hours?  Jesus.  Someone just kill me now, because I have no positive achievements to add to society.

-Swarthmore rejected me.  Fucking Pennslyvanian uber-liberal pricks.  (Actually, I wouldn't have gone there.  It's nice, but everyone's an elitist asshole.  Not the amusing kind of elitists, but the "why are these fucking applicants on our campus?" elitists)

-I've decided to learn to play the mandolin.  Eventually.  Because it's such a cool word, and such a cool instrument.  And musiciansfriend has them for really cheap (I don't know why? defects? that's fine.  I'm poor.)

-one thing I realized from yesterday: college kids are cooler than high school kids.  Well, either that or I really do just get along better with girls than guys.  Either way this is a positive thing to note.  There's only a couple people I disliked.  Though I hold a general dislike for the word wicked.  It disturbs me.

-updated album of the year holdings: 1. PT - Deadwing 2. AiH - In Case We Die 3. Kino - Picture 4. Strapping Young Lad - Alien 5. Meshuggah - Catch 33.  HM: Dark Tranquility - Character, The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute, John Petrucci - Suspended Animation

This year has been surprisingly great so far.  That's seven excellent albums right there.  And we still have new Dream Theater, the (not-so-new) James Labrie album, a new Devin Townsend release, and others, too.  Like, fuck, kids: this year has been excellent.  Last year barely had five good albums, and this year has so-o-o many.  I mean, Character would have been my third album last year, methinks (behind Be and Marbles).  This year, it's not even there.  The last two ranked ones are moving up as my tolerence for "extreme" metal rises.  Alien is most likely to move up, because it's so damn good (even though the whole thing is so extremely chauvinistic.  I mean, being a closet male feminist, it kinda disturbs me, but it's so great musically).

I doubt anything could top Deadwing though.  Deadwing is wicked hardcore.   Honestly, Lazarus and Mellotron Scratch are just too-good-for-words.  They are soul-quiveringly beautiful.  I wish PT would print some posters, or shirts, or something, so I could become a ruthless fanboy.

If I had to pick a third song, I'd pick Possessions off of Alien.  I don't know, the drumming is perfect, and the female backup "singing" is so unexpectedly great.

Well, I'm out.  'Til next time.

- Ricochet

I'm chewing on a pen.  There is a vaguely inky taste.

And it is raining really fucking hard outside.  It's the rapture!

"Dude, I mean, you'll be in the V.I.P. section of heaven.  You'll be sitting by the velvet rope talking and someone'll ask, 'How'd you die?'  'Oh...fucking fire.'  'fucking fireants'  And they'll get to you, 'How'd I die?  How'd I die?  IN THE FUCKING APOCALYPSE!  You should have been there man!  There were pigs flying, and shit exploding, and then a fountain of blood emerged from the ground, and it spawned Avril Lavigne's face, and she read off the entire script of Good Will Hunting.  Whoa...whoa!"

(from memory )

"Watch the ricochet!  It's gonna hit you!  It's always funny until someone gets hurt, and then it's just hilarious!"

Ahh...Faith No More...so senselessly violent.  But Mike Patton is the man.

- Love

(deciding my prior post wasn't really anything, I decided for a new one.)

I've quote Napoleon Dynamite three times today.  And I have an unending hatred of that movie.  It was, quite honestly, worse than Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.  And that is a terrible movie.  And I quoted ND three times...!

Yeah, so...I'm still a terrible person.  And I wish there was mail on Sundays, especially Easter Sunday.  Because I am insanely nervous that college will reject me.  Convinced of it.  fuck fuck fuck.

Things that amuse me: Looking at the featured content bar.  Because 4/5 are like 13 year old asian girls who talk like...well, like I talk, in real life, just hipper.  Instead of such clevernesses as "you hefty bitch!" we have "Y0! Bizzatch!" or something like that, I don't know.  And use AOLer speak, and think people actually care about their pathetic little lives.

Me?  I know people don't care about my pathetic little life.  I just write random things, mostly to amuse myself.  Not to amuse others.  It is a dangerous thing, thinking people care about your existance.

But, really, seeing those makes me think that hmm? this is the wrong site for me.   That and the homosexual pink silly smiley.  That clued me in as well.

Anyway.  This was a one-observation post.  I have nothing else.

<<EDIT>> You know what's a really good PoS song?  Thorn Clown.  It should have been included on Remedy Lane.  It's needless, sure, but it has really good musical moments, and really would have fit right in after This Heart of Mine.
